Door of Care and Safety [Charity]

April 19, 2018 Team KVV

Door of Care and Safety situated in Randfontein and aims to receive and assist any abandoned, abused and orphaned babies and children from any source, in cooperation with other agencies and state organs.  Ramona from Door of Care and Safety provides a home and love to these babies and children whilst seeking a forever family suitable for long term foster care or permanent care to each child.

Ramona identified the need due to the high number of newly born infants that were being abandoned in Randfontein and surrounding areas. She realized that many of those desperate women / girls may well have acted differently if there was another alternative. For that reason Door of Care and Safety have built a wall with a “baby-bin” allowing mothers to leave their babies there any time. The moment a baby is placed inside the bin, management receives an electronic signal alerting them immediately! The baby will be taken in and the anonymity of the donor is ensured.

At Door of Care and Safety there is a firm belief that God has a great future for these very special babies / children, that one day they shall stand in His service!

Ramona’s mission is to make these babies / children feel that they were not abandoned but loved.  “You are a blessing! The Lord has made you in an amazing and wonderful way.” Psalm 136.14

Over the years Door of Care and Safety took care of and loved over 25 children. By faith and reliance on God alone, from small and humble beginnings.

KVV Cares thanks each and every person who donated to Door of Care and Safety during our birthday month in March 2018!!  Every rand and item will make a difference in the lives of these children!!
